about

"When the Children Cry" was originally performed in 1987 by the rock band White Lion. It is such a beautiful and meaningful song. I wanted to recreate it with a little bit of a Celtic feel. Again, I asked Steven Lerud at Lakeview Recording Studio for his help on this. We added Aaron Ashton's incredible violin talents, and Daron Bradford's exquisite penny whistle improvisation. The vocals are pretty simple and straightforward in this piece, but I did add a bit of harmony in a few spots.
