This is a cover song originally written and performed by a group called Secret Garden, which features the Irish violinist Fionnuala Sherry and the Norwegian composer Rolf Lovland.

I love this song because it makes me think of the safety and serenity of a quiet, peaceful night and the idea of angels watching over us as we sleep.

This song is about nighttime and dreaming, but it could also be about the trying times in our lives. It encourages us to lay down our troubles and let peace and serenity embrace us until the light comes. We all go through hard times when our lives feel dark and scary. Sometimes we need to just take a deep breath, close our eyes, and remember that we are being watched over and everything will be okay in the end.
When I recorded this song, I layered my voice, singing four different harmonies for the chorus. I added a nice synth pad underneath the harp arpeggios and some bells and chimes that I thought really complimented the mood. You can also hear some deep strings playing chords throughout the chorus and then what sounds like a vocal choir joining in the second time through.

I hope you enjoy my interpretation of this lovely song.
