My progressive trance mix was produced by Andrew Campbell, a college student who has been studying music production. He is seriously talented. I hope I can do some more projects with him in the future.

We worked together on this for several weeks (via private message and email), each contributing ideas. The cool thing about a collaboration like this is that you both start out with a different vision. You throw together your ideas and keep trying different things until you are both happy. I was thrilled with the results of this. We had many days where we just about gave up. In fact, he told me at one point that he was going to put it on the back burner for a while, but that didn't last long. He said he actually enjoys solving "conundrums." The timing and the chords in this song are pretty tricky, and we got stuck quite a few times trying to figure out why it didn't sound right.

Producing music takes a LOT of time and patience, but when you finally get it to sound the way you want it to, it is so satisfying. Any form of creativity is satisfying. Nothing compares to taking something that only exists in your mind and bringing it to reality for others to enjoy.

I could not be happier with the way this turned out. Andrew exceeded my expectations and I really enjoyed working with him.
